Gabriella is a Spanish-speaking lawyer licensed in both Ontario and Nova Scotia.
Gabriella graduated with a civil law and common law degree from McGill University. During law school, Gabriella volunteered with several legal clinics in Toronto and Montreal where she assisted with sponsorship and humanitarian and compassionate applications for English, French, and Spanish-speaking clients.
Gabriella has been exclusively practising in immigration and refugee law since 2018. She has worked in private practice in Toronto and most recently as a staff lawyer at the Halifax Refugee Clinic. She has extensive work experience with applications for citizenship and permanent residence, temporary resident visas and permits, humanitarian and compassionate applications, refugee claims and appeals, pre-removal risk assessments, and judicial reviews before the Federal Court. Gabriella has also volunteered with the Canadian Bar Association’s Immigration and Refugee Board of Canada’s Consultative Committee, and she is currently an Executive Board member of the Canadian Association of Refugee Lawyers.
In her free time, Gabriella enjoys exploring the outdoors with her nieces and nephews.
