Shay has been practicing immigration and refugee law since 2017.
She attended University of King’s College in Halifax, Nova Scotia for a BA in Psychology and History, followed by a law degree from Dalhousie University in 2016. She completed her articling year at the Halifax Refugee Clinic and went on to practice law in two full-service immigration law firms in Ottawa, Ontario before returning in 2021 to spend another year at the Halifax Refugee Clinic.
Shay joined Grace in the Spring of 2022, where she continues to focus on immigration and refugee law. Her work has included appearances before the Immigration Appeal Division and the Refugee Board. She is fluent in English and Arabic. Throughout her career Shay has proved herself to be a fastidious and dedicated advocate.
